dear craig, i stumbled on this site by accident, the best accident i ever had, wow say it backwards!!i,m a bassist from australia and you,ve just made me feel like when i first heard jaco, thanxs very much!!
there is something about music that hints toward the truth surrounding this world. craig, i hope you realize that what you are doing is a beautiful thing. it is a hard to realize and understand that there are no words to describe emotions such as love and happiness, the next best thing is to show the masses of this place that another world exist. a world in which we dont have to pain all the time, a world of freedom. this is music. marley knew, john butler knows, plant knows, just as cobain knew, I hope that you can also understand the conditions that we are forced to face. i applaud you for fighting, the inebriation of music is one of the only weapons that we, the freethinkers, have left.

dear.craig I have been playing drums since i was 6 or 7 years old i was playing jazz tones pretty good by 8 years old now i am about to start bass lessons with one of ohio's best bass players i am starting with 1 hour lessons i want to start out with practicing 1to2 hours a day my brother juan is an awesome guitar player he's been pushing me to play because some of the world's best bass players started out on drums i'm looking forward to buying your cd soon whatever advice you could give me would be a blessing. God Bless and good Luck.
hi how are u how was everthing? how was life? going well
I am looking for the Holy Grail that will allow me to play well. I bought an upright bass about a year ago as the first instrument I've ever played. Are scales and arpeggios really the answers to my quest? Is the metronome my honest and faithful companion? How do I play a melody and hint at chord changes without sounding one dimentional or too muddy? Maybe the answer is in the question.
Great job on the new CD!!!
Great site..I enjoyed it a lot..BTW Its the first time I'm posting my comments on a public place. John
Just an old student saying hi. I almost jumped through the ceiling after I saw you got a review, (a positive one!), in Bass Player Magazine! I'm very happy for you, Craig, and I'll definitely check out your music. Coincidentally, I've been playing through a Bach cello suites book a lot lately and have been thinking of buying a Bach CD.....now I know which one to buy.
Wishing continued good luck, Doug Sarnecky
Yo what up shade nice web site
hey shades, It's shelley from your music and gyn class!!! You still didn't give michaela and me our sodas!! just kidding!! see you on tuesday and thursday!!
Craig...Bach to Bass is just amazing. You are too much man. Great to play with you too, love your grooves. Your use of that lightning speed in just the place and time is a gas and the 6-string Warwick is quite an instrument. A true talent my brother. Site looks great. Look forward to many gigs in the future.
hello Craig, i think your site is fine and very inspiring.i have been your fan for a long time now.pls keep on the good work and keep grooving.am also a bass player, but just 4 years in the instrument.i love bass to a fault, and i love to play in till i get old. take care. Benny.
I am surfing homepages in order to brush up my English and get useful information through the Internet. I'm a Russian who still has very poor command of English, but having a great interest in viewing the contents of this site. Thanks!
Nice site. I already know the albums are great.
http://www.top-handysites.de Hallo! Bin zufaellig hier gelandet und will schnell eine Eintrag hinterlassen bevor ich weitersurfe! Schoenen Tag noch! Gruss
Hi, I really liked the clips from your Bach CD (clicked on the banner ad at TalkBass.com). I bought the CD from CDBaby and will look forward to hearing the whole thing. I have been working on the solo cello suites and the solo violin works for about 8 years (on and off). I have an old site that features some early MP3's at http://www.jsbach.net/bass/ . I'm hoping to record some new stuff soon though. I'm not really happy with those clips but it's all I have right now.
I want to compliment you on your taste, technique and phrasing. Most of the time when I hear people play Bach on the bass or the guitar, they just play the notes. You play the music. That is what I have been striving for. Every phrase means something. I spend a lot of time attempting to find the right way to play every line in as much as I can determine was the intended phrasing. It's a neverending process, it seems. :-)
Take care,
Dave

Your site is a refreshing change from the majority of sites I have visited. When I first started visiting web sites I was excited by the potential of the internet as a resource and was very disappointed initially. You have restored my enthusiasm and I thank you for your efforts to share your insights and help the world become a better place.
Bye Sabina (GoodLife 2000 Research)
Hi Craig. Just want to let you know I've been practicing Bach a lot as of late and more specifically, trying to copy your feel on those recordings. It's a challenging exercise and I know copying a player's feel is something you always preach to students when it comes to learning solos on other instruments. I guess it works when studying other bass players too. Thanks for all the knowledge and inspiration over the years, you have no idea how appreciated it is. - Doug
Craig - I just posted an interview you did with Scott Hubbell - it's at http://www.ExtendedRangeBassist.com
Great interview - thanks!

Craig: It was & always is a pleasure to work with you! Hope we can hook up soon. Lenny.............................
It is really amazing to notice a musician sounding extremely modern playing stuff composed centuries ago. That`s what we see Craig Schoedler doing in his latest CD performing the classical pieces written by Bach. A must for the ones who have free spirit and love all sorts of music.
